The Day People Saw Ghosts

One day in 1873, a family moved in to an old house. They moved in and unpacked their stuff. The old owner, Kyle, said, "This place is haunted."

The new owner asked, "Why?"

Kyle saw the sink was broken. Kyle ran away and died the next day.

The owner went back inside and fixed the sink.

The ghost of Kyle same to the house and wrecked it.

After that the owner came and saw what happened. He saw a ghost and he hit the ghost with a broom until the ghost of Kyle left.

So from that day on, people believed in ghosts.

Wait For a Dolphin

Dolphins are always happy,
Opening their fins which are flappy.
Laughing with squeals,
Predicting what they feel.
Hey, I'm sure they'd like to meet you.
I'm sure they will, but they need to eat.
Need of baby dolphins is milk.
So, they feel like silk.

Love

Love from above was sent down by a white loving dove.
Love covers your heart like a big glove.
Love is a heart warming feeling.
Love is so precious it makes you feel like kneeling.

A sweet sensation in your heart is love.
If you don't have love you might want to shove.
A feeling that's precious, so delicate and pretty.
If you don't have love everyone will say 'What a pity".

Love is often presented with a heart.
With love in your heart you can never part.
Everyone needs love sometime or later.
To get love you don't need a caterer.

Red and pink are usually the colours that represent love,
Though sometimes the colour is white like the dove.
Love is so special, I can't express that enough.
We all need love for otherwise life is tough.

Bloodthirsty Man

Animals yelp in agonising pain,
Yet the butcher goes on.
Lands once untouched now filled with such filth,
Yet the butcher goes on.
Trees stood up tall, now chopped in half,
Yet the butcher goes on.
Oceans were so sparkly, now so grey and murky,
Yet the butcher goes on.
So stop now. There will be nothing left.
Will there be water left for your childre?
Do you want the butcher to go on?

Galloping over the hills,
the child watched from the window sill.
The horses neighed and tossed their heads
and the other child jumped out of bed.
"I want to ride with them, all over the ranch,"
the one child said still in a trance.
"I want my own horse, to groom and to ride,"
the other child said, her head to one side.
"You'll have a horse someday, you two girls,"
their mother said, patting their curls.
"I want one now, so I can watch it grow,"
the children said, imagining so.

Mr Chimper was a tiny, hairy man. Not a man actually. He was a gorilla. A genius by gorilla standards.

The gorilla wore an unconvincing disguise; shades that covered his tiny face, and a coat that covered his body, legs included. So he passed as a miniature chimp in kindergarten. But he was not in kindergarten unless kindergarteners could steal the Crown Jewels of England, amazingly bankrupt a billionaire and steal a wallet without touching it. He was anything but a kindergartener. He was a criminal. A very dangerous one. And now he is up to his most infamous scheme yet.

It was a dark night. Nobody paid attention to the tiny figure creeping past them. Chimper smiled while going through his plans for the tenth time. Plans that would help him become the President of the United States of America. Once he had the limitless power of the president, he would make all monkeys VICs (Very Important Chimps).

So his plans were simple but effective. He took a banana and ate it. Then he ate another. Then he ate two more. Immediately they stuck firmly onto his hands and feet. Chimper grinned admiring these gadgets he had pinched during his visit to MI6 (Monkey Intelligence 6). The inner part of the peel had suction holes so he could climb with ease.

He stole a car and parked it across the gigantic mansion that humans called the 'White House'. A security guard who stood with a machine gun, stood forward to stop him. Chimper knocked out the guard and climbed right up into the president's window. The tiny chimp grabbed the window with his bananas.

Then he sucked his thumb and the spit dried on his thumb harder than any diamond. The bullet proof glass cut through like paper. Now there was nothing that stood between the snoring president and the insane monkey.

Chimper took out a vial of liquid and poured a drop into the president's mouth, wide open and snoring. Tomorrow the presidant would make an important speech.

And what would they see?

Would they see a leader worthy to rule America? Or would they see a fat, hairy gorilla?

The High Ropes

On the 22nd of March, the ferry set out at approximately 9:30 in the morning. Everyone knew the reason: Group Two of BBI were headed straight to Motutapu Island camp. The gray water splashed against the side of the ferry. Choppy waves hurled themselves forward, only to turn into ripples that melted into the gloomy water.

At last, after thirty minutes the ferry boarded onto the wharf at Motutapu. Snatching a few bites and a refreshing drink of water, we started to trek our way up to the camp.

One hour later, two hundred tired students flopped down on the ground and started gobbling down lunch.

After a brief explanation about the camp we grabbed our gear bags an walked to our dorms.

Several minutes later, we gathered together on the deck where we ate lunch and began walking off to our first activity with our group. Our was high ropes. The proud yet simple construction loomed over us, casting a long, black shadow stretching across the grass. The instructor handed out harnesses and helmets. The first person started to climb and we held our breath and waited for out turns.

Finally, after patiently waiting, not to mention almost letting the rope be dragged along the ground because I was distracted by the flying kiwi, it was my turn. The handles were slippery from other people's sweat but I managed to haul myself onto the log. Blood was pounding in my ears but I refused to climb back down. I wanted to see the scenery and have a breath-taking experience. This would be the first exciting activity I had one in months. My feet firmly clung onto the log as I clambered over to the other side, but it wasn't over yet. Making my way towards the middle, I can't help but grin in triumph.

The day came and went quickly. After dinner one thought kept popping up in my mind. If the high ropes were challenging enough, then what do I have to face in the next few days? As I thought this over, my best friend's words came back into my mind. "You can never do your best at something. When there's a triumph, there's always room to improve."

A breeze blew past and I shrugged. I was ready for anything.

Dead and Beyond

It was a cold morning in September 1982. There was a new toy store opening on this very day, but the ad advertising this toy story said r16, so there was not much of a turnout.

The toystore was called 'Dead and Beyond'. It was filled with toy figures with guns and swords. There was only four of us in the store and we were all aged between 16 and 17. The other three were nerds. I was the only one disappointed with the shop because it didn't have anything I liked.

The lights flashed off for a minute and I heard gunshots and the screams of other people.

When the lights came back on the man who was at the desk in the corner was gone and I found the other three dead.

I turned around to see a gun pointed at my head. The last think I heard was a gunshot and my head hit the floor.

Darkness fell upon me.

A creak of the door
It fills your ear.
A crack in the floor
What is fear?
There's no light
Was that a rat?
Somethings not right.
What was that?
A ghost of the mind?
Monster ready to dine?
Clock struck thirteen?
Is this a dream?

Batcat Nat

Nat the bat cat
at the hat,
ate the mat which
ate the rat and
got a pat and grew
so fat. So she sat.

Then she went to Ben the hen
in the den and got out a pen
and said "Count to ten."
That was when Ken came in
and said "Where's Len?"

Len knows Dan
who has a pan
near the fan
because he's the man
who has a nan that
drives a van and
has a tan.
So she ran and
got a can
for Peter Pan.

He's nan's friend
that can bend
and send an attend letter
so that's

Once upon a morning day
when doe rests upon the tawny grass,
a girl with as light as grey
and skin as bronze as brass,
was born into this dark, dank world.

Unaware was she
of the dank, musty odour
that comes from he
who killed me.

Amongst the dead lay a lady.
Lips frozen in a last laugh,
hair locked in a wave of sunlight,
heart stopped from beating.
Death embraced
as though a friend lost an age ago.

Found again a friend indeed.
Found in air,
embraced by cloud,
killed by death,
awakened by love.

Silent Magpie

The magpie walks
across the sodden ground.
There is so much no one knows about her.
Like you, like you
secretive one.
They tell me when I say so.
I don't know why they say those words.
I don't know what they mean.
I'm nothing like a silent magpie,
walking across the green.
Oh yes you are! Oh yes you are!
They tell me everyday.
I don't know why they tell me so
I know it can't be true.
I'm nothing like a silent magpie,
walking under the sky so blue.

I Write

I write to survive
and to erase out all the lies.
Zone out all the people,
Zone out all the hatred.
I write to save the world,
to stop the ongoing wars.
I write to spread the love
without sacrificing mine.
I want to keep on going
but my body says stop.
I'm not going to listen,
I'll write and write and write.
Nothing'll stop me no one will stop me,
the words will appear like flashes of lightning.

At the Day of an Autumn Morning

At the dawn of an autumn morning, a child was left on a lane where leaves danced to the ground as though they had trained to be ballerinas.
The child had a mat of black hair and was small as that of a fairy's child. Rumour has it she was.

She was swathed in many clothes, but clothes by none. It was by way of this that we realise the child is of a delicate, ladylike stature.

By her side lay three parcels and a note.

Found in this manner was she, three weeks later, by a witch - white, mind you, meaning she ws not that of a villainous mind.

Fifteen years later, the witch was at death's door, and the child was left alone in the world, with none but ten cats. Disease stealing their lives until one remained, at wits end.

She returned to her birth lane, and alighted her eyes upon a male stature with eyes that mirrored the depths and colour of the ocean on a cloudless day.

Lost was her heart from that first second, so too was his.

They were married on a day in autumn much like the one she was born upon. A white dress flowed down her slender frame like a waterfall. A delicate ring entwined itself around her fingers.

Her first child was born not long after and they lived contentedly.

Alas, not all stands still in life, and eventually their bodies were laid to rest, even though their immortal souls live forever more.

BIG BOYS TOYS

It was a sunny day on the 17th of February. I was walking along a road in my local town. I noticed that the run-down pub had been turned into a toystore. It wasn't the most colourful shop that I had ever seen, but it was fine.

I walked into the shop named Toys for Boys. I noticed that on one side of the shop there was a sign saying 'Big Boys Toys'. There was chainsaws, boats, cars, steak knives, and things like that. Then on the children's side there was wrestling figures, toy guns, puppets and other things.

But the one thing that caught my eye was a puppet. It was red with a darkening smile and it's hands were out like it was going to hug me. At that moment the lights went out.

I noticed that there had been a man standing at the entrance.

There was a yelp, the lights flickered on for a second and the man that I saw before had his head chopped off and lying on the ground. There was an evil laugh and then darkness fell upon me.
